for a long time i could not look at it without feeling guilty, then a couple of times i looked at with contempt.... after awhile it mysteriously ended up in the dumpster including... the books, tracts, wt's, awakes, and return visits slips that was in it.. where is your bookbag right now?.

Uncertain as to why, but I still have mine. Perhaps because it cost me a small fortune at the time - hand made by a leather craftsman. It must be the only remnant that I have left of that miserable activity. I have thought about tossing it out. Maybe when I can no longer fend off the demon attacks, I will get it out of the house.

Short answer? No! As I have stated previously, I would never willingly enter a kh - if I were to attend, I would either need to be dead, or in a coma.
No chance of me ever being invited to a wedding at the kh, so that is simple. As far as funerals are concerned, whenever my wife's mother happens to die, I will attend the kh grounds but will not enter the hall or be within earshot of the ritual. Should I be so lucky to be around when my wife's father dies, then, at the time of the funeral I will be celebrating elsewhere, the fact that he has finally done the most decent thing in his life - and that was to die.

Auxiliaring is definitely where the action is when it's hot, although the witnesses around my area find that live virgin sacrifices are special, regardless of the weather conditions. It seems as though some posters have overlooked taking their daily dose of reality pills in relation to this topic. Agreed, and indisputably, that the whole saga was against the law.
But remember, aren't many of the more enjoyable things in life either illegal or immoral?
Although over fifty years of age, I can almost (with increasing difficulty) recall being fourteen, and I feel correct in assuming that most fourteen year old male youths today are similar in many ways to fourteen year olds from my era.
Maybe it is that Australians come from convict stock, but I can be rest assured that had a similar opportunity presented itself to me and and ALL of my peers we would have jumped at the chance - and then enquired whether she had any like-minded girlfriends. I feel certain the trauma would have been minimal, and able to be managed. I can only guess that this guy's school mates would have been chomping at the bit to have a go at sharing in his extracurricular activities.
Methinks that the only problem this guy now has, is with his mother for interrupting his relationship.
Keep in mind that it appears that the guy was a willing participant. It was not like he was tied up and forced to engage in the related activities (though that may well have added a whole new dimension to his experience). The teacher was twenty three and easy on the eyes - not sixty three and a scruffy hag - if that was the case, I doubt he would have accepted her advances.
Certainly, if the roles had been reversed i.e. older male teacher with underage female student, then there is no approving this relationship.

as i reflect on my time spent as a jw, there are certain issues that continue to disturb me about my conduct and lifestyle as a member of that so-called 'religion'.. from the outset, let me state that i did not suffer any physical, sexual, or mental abuse from any members of the cult, that so unfortunately was inflicted upon many persons who now can gladly consider themselves as ex-members of that sorry excuse for a humane (or godly, whichever way you prefer to recognise it) organisation.
certainly, there were conflicts of personality, and some bad business dealings, but, really, i consider that i 'got off lightly' from the fifteen or so years i wasted as a member.. one thing is certain - that no-one, i repeat, no-one, can spend any time as part of that cult and, who manages to escape, who will come away unscathed.
all will carry some form of scar.. so what are my concerns?

Haven't had the chance to read all of the replies, but you obviously stirred a few with your observations.
To quote the Sydney Morning herald at the time of the girls 'becoming of age' - "The twins are the objects of fantasy for both six year old girls and fifty year old men". No doubt for different reasons.
